​​​​​FMIC Celebrates the 62nd Imamat Day of His Highness the Aga Khan

​French Medical Institute for Mothers and Children (FMIC), celebrated the 62nd Imamat day of His Highness the Aga Khan IV on July 11, 2019.

FMIC team including the senior management gathered at the FMIC auditorium to commemorate this historic day. Dr. Nayamat Shah, Chief Executive Officer of FMIC, welcomed all the participants to the celebration meant to pay tribute to His Highness the Aga Khan for his exemplary work specially in the developing world to which Afghanistan is not an exception. Other senior management team members also applauded the work of His Highness the Aga Khan in fields ranging from health and education to architecture, rural development and the promotion of private-sector enterprise. Cake-cutting ceremony was part of the celebration which symbolized the recognition of His Highness’s contribution towards Afghanistan and specially FMIC.​​

FMIC was established in 2006 through an innovative four-way public-private partnership between the Government of Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, the Government of France, La Chaine de L'Espoir "Chain of Hope", and the Aga Khan Development Network (AKDN). His Highness the Aga Khan is the Founder and Chairman of AKDN and 49th spiritual leader (Imam) of Ismaili Muslims.
