Job summary

Prepare monthly schedule of various balance sheet accounts, maintain fixed assets register and prepare the schedule of monthly addition and deletion of fixed assets, coordinate with different ministries for correspondence and submission of reports and ensure the timely deposit of withholding tax deducted on supplier payments (within 7 days) to DA Afghanistan bank.


a. Regular Responsibilities

Checking of local / foreign currency payment, receipts and journal vouchers as per the approved authority matrix of Finance.

Preparation of monthly reconciliation/schedules of different balance sheet account.

Following up the outstanding advances/issues with concerned person arising as result of reconciliations/schedules – “Compliance with the Advance policy”.

Take active part in monthly General Ledger closing and ensure that all the relevant transactions are recorded on time.

Filling the monthly tax returns and resolving the matters thereon.

Ensure the timely deposit of withholding tax deducted from supplier (within 7 days) to Da Afghanistan bank and resolving the matters thereon.

Coordinating with the government entities for reporting and compliance. 

Maintain the fixed assets register and prepare the schedule of monthly addition and deletion of fixed assets and conduct the semiannually physical verification of institution fixed assets.

Managing the activities of tuck shop including monthly inventory.

Preparation of biannual and annual reports submitted to the different Ministry.

Any other work assigned by the supervisor.

Qualification and Requirements

BBA or Bachelors in Finance.

Work experience

At least 2 year of related experience preferably with an NGO / Health Care Institution.

Knowledge and Competencies.

Good knowledge of financial systems.

Excellent computer skills specially MS Office.

Good knowledge of Accounting.
