On April 7, 2025, FMIC marked World Pediatric Surgery Day with an inspiring session led by Dr. Mohammad Tareq Rahimi, Medical Director and Head of Pediatric Surgery. The event featured surgeons and residents sharing unforgettable experiences, challenges, and triumphs in their mission to heal Afghanistan's youngest patients.
The session was also streamed via Zoom, allowing participation from provinces such as Herat, Badakhshan, and Bamiyan, as well as from Germany, with contributions from Prof. Basmillah Shiwamal. The event concluded with remarks from Prof. Shiwamal, emphasizing the importance of collaborative efforts in pediatric care.
