On July 28, 2025, the FMIC proudly commemorated World Hepatitis Day with an enlightening presentation by Dr. Ali Begzaad, a consultant in adult medicine at FMIC. The event attracted approximately 41 medical professionals, including doctors, nurses, and medical students, all eager to deepen their understanding of hepatitis and its implications for health.
Dr. Begzaad delivered a comprehensive presentation that covered a wide range of topics, including the definition of hepatitis, different types of the virus, epidemiology, and specific details about hepatitis B. Attendees gained insights into the transmission and risk factors associated with hepatitis B, as well as its symptoms and diagnostic methods. The presentation also emphasized the importance of prevention and included information about the hepatitis B vaccine, along with a discussion on hepatitis C.
The event fostered a collaborative environment, encouraging dialogue and
questions among participants, which further enriched the learning experience.
