November 24, 2025 – Dr. Mohammad Haidar Omar, the FMIC Pulmonology consultant, led a Continuing Medical Education (CME) session titled “Lung Cancer." The event attracted 46 medical professionals and students eager to expand their knowledge in this critical area of healthcare.

During the session, participants explored a comprehensive range of topics, including the definition of lung cancer, its various types, common symptoms, and the necessary investigations for diagnosis. Dr. Omar delved into important aspects such as biopsy and histopathology, radiological presentations, and staging to guide treatment. Attendees also learned about management options, including surgical treatment, radiotherapy, chemotherapy, laser therapy, and stenting.

Concluding the session, participants expressed their gratitude for FMIC's commitment to organizing such informative seminars.
