FMIC hosted a CME session on Medical Ethics at Indira Gandhi Children's Hospital
On May 13, 2025, FMIC hosted a CME session on Medical Ethics at Indira Gandhi Children's Hospital. Dr. Omid Ahmad Faizi, Consultant Neonatologist and Head of the NICU at FMIC, delivered a detailed talk on the subject. The event was attended by the IGCH Medical Director, along with 50 doctors, nurses, and residents.
The CME covered a comprehensive range of topics related to ethics in healthcare, including the definition of ethics, the history of medical ethics, and various types and principles of medical ethics. Dr. Faizi emphasized the essential pillars of medical ethics and the responsibilities of healthcare professionals. He also elaborated on the relationships between medical workers and patients, relatives, and fellow professionals.
This engaging session aimed to enhance the understanding of ethical practices within the medical community.
At the conclusion, the Indira Gandhi Children's
hospital management expressed their appreciation for FMIC's efforts in
organizing such seminars and fostering a platform for knowledge exchange among
healthcare professionals.
