Medical ethics course conducted at FMIC, Kabul, January 20-22, 2014​​​ ​

As part of French Medical Institute for Children (FMIC) capacity building initiatives, a three days course on medical ethics was conducted at the FMIC for postgraduate medical residents at FMIC from 20-22 January 2014. The course was facilitated by a team of experts from Aga Khan University Karachi. These included Dr. Aasim Ahmad,  Dr. Kulsoom Khadija Ghias,  Dr. Waqar Uddin Kashif and Ms. Fizza Kazmi. The course was conducted in two portions, each attended by 51 persons in total. Aside from FMIC participants i.e. PGME residents, doctors, course directors and staff from other departments, the course was also attended by few colleagues from the Ministry of Public Health Afghanistan. The course covered topics such as respect for a person, conflict of interest, medical error, priority setting  and resource allocation. The audience also appreciated FMIC management for providing them such opportunities to build their medical knowledge and capacities.​
