Continuing Medical Education session

November 22, 2017

Dr. Jean Flori

November saw the FMIC hold a Continuing Medical Education session (CME) for over 30 doctors specializing in the field of neonatology. The majority of participants were professional doctors from governmental and private eye hospitals, such as Malalai Maternity Hospital, Afshar Hospital, Istaqlal Hospital, Shar Ara Hospital, Rabia Balkhi Hospital, Khair Khana Hospital, Alimi hospital and Unique Hospital, along with a number of doctors from FMIC. The CME was focused on the topic of “Follow-up of very pre-term babies”.

The session started with a presentation by Dr. Jean Flori, a retired Paediatrician neonatologist from Strasbourg Teaching Hospital. Participants were encouraged to actively participate in the session by asking questions and by sharing their concerns and opinions.

At the end of the programme, Dr. Flori thanked the participants for joining the session. He thanked the Communications Department at FMIC for organizing this session. In return, participants from the Afghan Society of Obstetrician and Gynecologists (AFSOG) Association expressed their appreciation for FMIC’s effort for conducting the program and for facilitating the exchange of information between doctors. They requested FMIC to facilitate more such programs in the future and to invite association members of the AFSOG, too.
