​​​Doctors and Medical Students benefited from CME session at FMIC ​

Dr. Mohammad Tareq Rahimi, Head of Pediatric Surgery at FMIC present a presentaton on pediatric constipation

​The Marketing and Communications Department, in collaboration with the FMIC Pediatric Surgery Department, conducted a continuing medical education session at the FMIC Auditorium on February 14, 2024. The CME was attended by 75 participants, and the topic was "pediatric constipation.". The doctors, along with medical students from different universities, benefitted from the lecture and presentation. Dr. Mohammad Tareq Rahimi, Head of Pediatric Surgery at FMIC, covered several topics. Those included: the definition of pediatric constipation, the normal process of defecation, bowel motility, voluntary sphincter muscles, colonic and rectosignoid motility, epidemiology, pediatric Rome IV criteria, physical examination, and diagnostic tools. Also, he explained the most common causes, diet and constipation, complications, and treatment.

The participants expressed their gratitude towards FMIC for organizing the CME and conveying their desire for future sessions. In the end, participants asked several questions related to the topic, and those were addressed by the presenter.
