FMIC

The Marketing and Communications department, in collaboration with Obstetrics and Gynecology department, conducted a CME  in FMIC auditorium  on October, 2022, from 1:00 PM – 3:00 PM. In 3 -hour session, the obstetrics and gynecology doctors presented four presentation. A totally 36 doctors and nurse participant from different hospital in the session.

The firs presentation briefed by Dr Palwasha Alizai on "who labor care guide" the topic included: Respectful maternity care, Effective communication, companionship during labour and childbirth, Definition and duration of the latent and active first stages of labour, Progress of the first stage of labour, pain relief during labour, Definition and duration of the second stage of labour, episiotomy policy, the principal aims of the LCG, how to use the Labour Care Guide?, structure of the LCG, time axis, Alert column and Supportive care and she also describe how to care of baby and women after delivery.

The second presentation was started by Huma Alizai FMIC consultant  obs/gyn on "propranolol and induced labor" she briefed on Augmentation of labor, difference between labor augmentation and labor induction and Propranolol usage for IOL.

The third presentation was presented doctor Azada Yacoub, head of maternity department in Beaune Hospital, France  on  Placenta Accreta  Ultrasound Diagnostic she briefed about Definition placenta, Consequences at delivery, Incidence/Recurrence risk, Pathogenesis, Diagnosis, The FIGO (International Federation of Gynecology and Obstetrics) clinical grading system, Sonographic diagnosis, Implications for sonographic screening and she showed some image and video of abnormal placenta lacunae, bladder wall interruption, myometrial thinning, placenta bulge and focal exophytic mass.

The fourth presentation was started by Dr Zohra Sediqi FMIC consultant  obs/gyn on Fatty liver the topic included of acute fatty liver, Clinical feature, Laboratory test ,Pathogenesis, Radiological evaluation, Differential diagnosis, Complications, Management and Recurrence. at the end the participants appreciated the FMIC’s initiative for conducting such as CME and they also appreciated the doctors for their  comprehensive presentation and for sharing scientific information with all participants.
