​​​​​FMIC celebrated the Diamond Jubilee of His Highness the Aga Khan IV​​

French Medical Institute for Mothers and Children (FMIC), launched by an innovative four-way public-private partnership between the Government of Islamic Republic Afghanistan (GoIRA), the Government of France (GoF), La Chaine de L'Espoir "Chain of Hope", and the Aga Khan Development Network (AKDN), celebrated the Diamond Jubilee of His Highness the Aga Khan IV, at the FMIC, on 15 July 2018. 

His Highness the Aga Khan IV is the Founder and Chairman of AKDN and 49th spiritual Imam of the Ismaili Muslims. Over 100 staff members of the FMIC, along with its senior management participated in the event. Dr. Nayamat Shah, Chief Executive Officer of the FMIC, welcomed Mrs. Nurjehan Mawani, AKDN Ambassador to Afghanistan, H.E. Dr. Ahmad Jan Naeem, Deputy Minister of Public Health, Dr. Shafiq Mirzazada, Director of AKU Programs in Afghanistan, and senior management and staff to congratulate His Highness on the occasion of the Diamond Jubilee. In her remarks, Mrs. Nurjehan Mawani spoke of the significance and themes of the Diamond Jubilee and of its historic culmination in Lisbon, Portugal. H.E. 

Dr. Ahmad Jan Naeem conveyed his warm felicitations to FMIC and all of AKDN on this auspicious occasion, expressing deep appreciation and admiration for His Highness's concern for the quality of life of the people of Afghanistan. He also acknowledged the important partnership between AKDN agencies and the Ministry of Public Health, and a cake-cutting ceremony followed.
