Adult and Paediatric Cardiology
Our team is dedicated to meeting the unique needs of each child and adult patient who comes to FMIC with a heart condition.
The cardiology department at FMIC is one of the renowned and only centre in Afghanistan which offers PGME programme in cardiology and providing the highest quality cardio-vascular care and research. The department includes adult intervention cardiologists, paediatric interventional cardiologist , residents, registered Cath Lab nurses and numerous bedside nurses, technicians and staff members.
The FMIC cardiology department offers outpatient consultation and evaluation for new and follow-up patients in general cardiology clinics and specialized clinics devoted to heart failure and cardiomyopathy, arrhythmia and pacemaker management, comprehensive vascular care and preventive and rehabilitation services.
Services include cardiac catheterization, primary angioplasty, echo-cardiography, ETT, Holter monitoring and cardiac rehabilitation.
We work closely with the paediatric cardiac surgery team to ensure that each of our young patients receives the highest quality healthcare.
