Magnetic Resonance Imaging
Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) is a safe, non-invasive technique that allows physicians to take pictures of organs and structures inside the body. FMIC installed its second MRI machine in 2018 with the capacity of screening 24 patients per day. This has ultimately reduced waiting time and made early appointments possible for patients. More importantly, the image quality of the new machine is much higher and accurate.

Mammography
Mammography is an x-ray technique designed specifically to examine the breast. It is central to the early detection of diseases, particularly cancer.

Our experienced team and modern technologies allow us to provide two types of examinations:

Screening Mammogram
This is a routine examination for women who do not have any symptoms. It is designed to detect breast cancer and other diseases early and we recommend that women after age of 40 be screened on a regular basis.

Diagnostic Mammogram
This is a more in-depth examination, which is designed to provide physicians with more information about women who have exhibited symptoms of breast disease.

Ultrasonography
Ultrasound is a method of using high-frequency sound waves to obtain images from inside the human body. The sound waves reflect off the patient’s body, are recorded and then displayed as real-time images.

FMIC is equipped with two high-end, multi-frequency-range ultrasound probes. This allows our ultrasound service to provide routine adult and paedriatic procedures.
