When a patient becomes a goodwill ambassador

Najiba (15) was suffering from primary Amenorrhea and periodic monthly pain for over a year.

The cause for her pain was hematometra (accumulation of blood in the uterine cavity). She referred to many clinics, local doctors, and private and public hospitals throughout the country and had two unsuccessful abdominal surgeries.

Frustrated by the results of the unsuccessful operations, her family brought her to FMIC as a last resort. At FMIC, she underwent a surgery that evacuated the mass of blood and created a normal anatomy for her without abdominal surgery. The good news is that she will not need any more surgeries in the future. Her case was handled by Dr Farzana Wali Jebran, head of Obstetrics and Gynaecology at FMIC. Dr Farzana holds her MD from Kabul Medical University and has over 20 years of experience in Obstetrics and Gynaecology.

Najiba is now going back to normal life, and she is quite happy with FMIC and specifically from Dr Farzana for relieving her one-year-long pain and suffering. She says, “Whenever there is any patient in our village, I will surely refer him/her to FMIC because it is a nice place for the patients to be treated.”
