Zabihullah gets back to work after 9 years  Zahbiullah-picture-2.jpg

At a very young age, Zabihullah, along with his younger brother, was burdened with the responsibility to financially support his 7-member family and also to take care of his aged parents. He made a relatively decent income by running a small bakery shop in a suburb of Kabul. Everything was going well until an unexpected pain appeared in his left knee when he was just 20.

The severity of the pain gradually increased and he finally lost his ability to walk. His family took him to many hospitals and doctors in Kabul but he got only worse. After 9 years of suffering from pain and misery, his family brought him to FMIC when they found out that similar cases have been treated successfully at FMIC.

At FMIC, MRI images showed that Zabiullah is suffering from a rare case of atrophy in his left knee muscles, which causes Joint Deformity. In such cases, Knee Joint Arthroplasty or Total Knee Replacement are the only viable options.

After consultation with his family, he accepted to go through an extensive operation. The operation led by Dr Khatab Osmani, the Orthopaedic Specialist, went very well.

Zabiullah recovered quickly and his operation showed no adverse effects. During his follow-up visit, which happened after a month, he was able to walk without any support. All his family especially his mother was very happy with the services and attention that his son had received at FMIC.

According to Dr Khatab, Zabihullah can get back to his bakery shop and can enjoy his normal life in just a few months.
