Since it opened, FMIC has served over 2 million patients, trained over 4,000 medical professionals, and currently employs over 95 percent Afghan staff.
FMIC plans to grow from a 176-bed facility to a 550-bed teaching hospital that offers a full complement of tertiary specialized services, trains new healthcare providers, and supports a substantial research programme. The Expanded Medical Complex, currently under design, will begin to offer services in the near future. The new facilities will provide space for research activities, additional Postgraduate Medical Education programmes and enhanced diagnostic facilities, and medical services, including adult general surgery, cardiology, gastroenterology, internal medicine, neurosciences, oncology, orthopaedics, and renal diseases.
Job summary:
The Human Resource Officer is responsible for providing support in the various human resource functions, which include recruitment, staffing, performance monitoring, and employee counseling. The incumbent will be responsible for administrative tasks and contribute to making the FMIC a better place to work.
Job Responsibilities:
1. Recruitment:
Coordinate recruitment activities from requisition to onboarding.
Advertise vacancies and screen applications.
Schedule interviews, written tests, conduct interviews and complete selection process.
Conduct reference and background checks.
Prepare employment offers, contracts, and appointment letters.
Communicate with new employee onboarding and orientation programs.
Facilitate document verification and pre-employment requirements.
Facilitate ID cards, access permissions, and employee registration processes.
2. Employee Records, HR Administration & Employee Relations:
Maintain accurate and up-to-date personnel files.
Manage employee records in Peoplesoft HR systems.
Process employee documentation, including transfers, promotions, employee confirmation, HR letter and contract renewals.
Ensure confidentiality of employee files and full information.
Prepare Reprimand/warning letters, draft investigation reports, and disciplinary documentation.
Provide guidance to employees on HR policies and procedures.
Address employee inquiries and concerns.
Support conflict resolution and employee engagement activities.
Support the human resources team in the filing of personnel files as per the needs and protocols of the human resources department.
Record Pharmacy allowance expenses and maintain an up-to-date record on daily basis.
Monitor probationary reviews and performance appraisal processes.
Follow up with supervisors regarding performance evaluations forms and maintain performance management records.
Perform any other related task assigned by Supervisor.
3. Attendance and Leave Administration:
Records leave reports for overall employees of FMIC under the supervision of HR Coordinator.
Monitor attendance of leave records and verify leave applications.
Ensure accurate reporting for payroll processing.
Qualification and Education:
Academic & professional qualifications
BBA degree from any recognized and accredited university.
Work experience:
A minimum of 3–4 years of relevant professional experience is preferred
Knowledge and competencies (State skills, abilities & traits required)
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Demonstrates the ability to work effectively under pressure, manage multiple priorities simultaneously, and consistently meet tight deadlines.
Highly computer literate with capability in email, MS Office, and related business and communication tools.
Confidentiality and professionalism.
Meticulous attention to detail.
Ability to accurately follow instructions.
Have good record-keeping skills.
