Abstracts Submission Guidelines
For abstract submission please note:
Abstracts for the Conference will be selected for oral or poster presentation depending
on the evaluation by the Scientific Committee.
The selection of abstracts for oral presentation will follow strict appraisal to ensure that
only quality abstracts are presented at the Conference.
Registration to the Conference is mandatory for the final acceptance of abstracts.
The abstract will be accepted in soft copy only through an online form (Link) Hard copies sent by mail or fax will not be considered.
No changes in the abstract contents and authorship will be allowed after the final submission. If you wish to withdraw your abstract you must inform the Scientific Committee via e-mail before August 31, 2024.
The submitted abstract should be original,
Abstracts must be submitted in English only.
Abstracts must not exceed 350 words, including title, author/s, affiliations, and footnotes.
The Following subheadings should be used in all abstracts:
Background: Briefly describe the context and current understanding of the research topic. Highlight the knowledge gap that your study addresses.
Objective/s: A sentence describing the significance and objective/ question of the study
Methodology: A concise description of methods and materials used to conduct the study
Results: A summary of the key results in a logical sequence
Conclusion: A brief discussion of the significance, applications, or broader implications of the study, with emphasis on important aspects of the study, and recommendations/ policy implications.
Those who submit research abstracts will be notified regarding the acceptance/rejection within two weeks after the given deadline.
If accepted, the notification about the date and time of the session/presentation will be shared one week before the event.
The title should be formulated, indicating the nature of the study. Please do not use abbreviations in the title.
Use "Times New Roman" size 12 and single line spacing for the abstract text.
Please check the spelling and grammar carefully. The abstract will be retrieved from your online submission - any errors in spelling, grammar, or scientific data will appear in print.
Accepted abstracts will be published in the Abstract Book

2011 First FMIC International Pediatrics Conference 2011: FMIC organized its first
International conference, 'Pediatric Care in Afghanistan', in Kabul, Afghanistan on 26-27th February 2011. More than 200 participants during the two-day conference learned about surgical and medical topics concerning child health, modern diagnostic methods, the success of educational programs, quality assurance initiatives, infection control methodologies, and the use of innovative telecommunication techniques such as telemedicine from Afghan and international experts.
2012 Second FMIC Annual International Conference 2012: On December 1, 2012 the
FMIC organized its second international pediatric conference
at the Grand Ballroom of the Kabul Serena Hotel. The theme of the conference was “From

2013 Third FMIC Annual International Conference 2013: FMIC organized its Third International Conference, “Moving Towards Quality Healthcare for Mother and Child" to focus on new and innovative techniques for addressing current issues of maternal and child health. The two-day FMIC conference was held in the Grand Ballroom of the Kabul Serena Hotel on 5-6 October and brought together more than 500 local healthcare professionals from across Afghanistan.
